8th December Newsletter 14

Dear Parents,

Christmas celebrations are almost upon us. We have our school Christmas Dinner this Wednesday, which is always a lovely occasion. The children in Foundation, Y1 and Y2 have been working tremendously hard rehearsing for their Christmas Performances. I am sure they are a real treat to look forward to. Y3 and Y4 are also busy rehearsing more traditional carols and songs in preparation for our visit to the Baptist Church next week.

Flitwick Carol Concert
Flitwick Town Council are holding a Carol Concert on Tuesday 16th December at 7.30pm, in the village hall. There will be refreshments available after the concert, along with a raffle in aid of local causes. For further information you can contact Flitwick town Council on 01525 631900 or info@flitwick.gov.uk.

Need Project/Prebend Street
May I thank you for your wonderful generosity in donating food and other items for both the food bank and Prebend Street Centre for the Homeless. We are aiming to organise collection of our donations in the last two days of term. If you would like to donate to either of these good causes we would be grate for the following items:

Road Safety – Steppingley Road
We are inviting parents to sign a petition to demonstrate our deep concern to Central Bedfordshire about vehicle speeds and safety on Steppingley Road. Please look out for the petition, the more signatures we get, the more likely we will secure essential safety improvements.

We also encourage you to express your concerns in your own words direct to Central Bedfordshire. Please email highways@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk if you could please copy in templefield@cbc.beds.sch.uk so we can keep a record of any emails that have been sent.

Look out for more road safety awareness training for children and parents in the new year.
Many thanks for your support.

As the last week of term approaches I thought a reminder of events in school might be helpful.
