20th May Newsletter 14

Dear Parents,

With half term almost upon us we could wonder where the time has gone. Although short, this half term has been incredibly productive with children taking formal assessments, class assemblies, Y4 visit to Snibston and KS1 Multi Skill competition, where children came second. A wonderful result for their first sporting event.

Class Photographs
A small proof of your child’s class photograph was sent home last week. A full sized example is also on view in each classroom. Please could all orders, with payment be in the school office by Tuesday 3rd June. Many thanks

Staffing
Currently Mr Orr is absent from school due to illness. He is undergoing medical tests and treatment in hospital and we very much hope that he will make a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to school.
We are fortunate in that Mrs Freeman will be covering Mr Orr’s class during his absence. This arrangement will ensure continuity for the children as Mrs Freeman’s a known and highly respected member of our Foundation Stage Team.
Throughout Mr Orr’s absence it is our aim to ensure continuity of provision for the children. I know that parents will join me in wishing Mr Orr a speedy recovery. Thank you for your understanding at this time.

Mufti Day
Friday 23rd May is a mufti day for all the children. Full details are on the PTA Newsletter which accompanies this letter.

Overleaf is the diary for the second half of the Summer Term. As always at this time of the year there are some key dates for parents to be aware of.

If at any time you have any concerns regarding your child do not hesitate to contact the class teacher in the first instance.

Yours sincerely

L.Birch
