This has been a successful half term so far with children producing a wide variety of wonderful work. As the term progresses we have more to look forward to, attached to this letter is the current diary for the second half of the Spring Term.
Accompanying this letter is our parent questionnaire. We would be pleased if parents could complete this and return it to school by Wednesday 12th February at the latest. We will use the findings of this questionnaire to inform part of our school evaluation, and also to identify any areas for future development. Sainbury’s are launching their annual Active Kids scheme. Vouchers may be brought to the collection point at the school office. In previous years we have been delighted with both the parental response and the additional resources these schemes have brought.
Our Value for February is Unity and we will be considering how to create a community that is united. We will explore how words and actions can bring unity and harmony, and think about how to develop skills for resolving conflict in our relationships and in wider issues, through stories, news and current affairs.
Dinner money for the second half of spring term is as follows:

Y3 £52.80 (29 days – school trip to Duxford in March)
Y4 going on residential £52.20 (27 days)
£9 weekly, payable at the beginning of the week please. Fridays only £10.80 (6 days)

We are currently updating our website and would like to include photographs of learning in school. If you do not wish your child to appear on the site please return the reply slip to ‘opt-out’. We are planning to update our website regularly in order to give a snapshot of our school in action.
Parent Consultation Evenings
We are holding our Parent Consultation evenings on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th March between 4pm and 7.30pm. The signing up boards will be available from Monday 10th February under the covered way, before and after school.
As always if you have any concerns regarding your child please do not hesitate in contacting your child’s class teacher in the first instance.
